Playlists

In the cloud, you can manage playlists in the following ways:

1. View All Playlists
2. Search a Playlist
3. Sort Playlists
4. Create a New Playlist
5. Create a Copy of a Particular Playlist
6. View Playlist Playing on Particular Screens
7. Update Playlist Name
8. Delete a Playlist

Documentation

1. View All Playlists

Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.

2. Search a Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Use the search bar located at the top-right corner of the screen (just before the +New Playlist button) to enter the playlist’s name.
Step 3: The playlist search results will automatically update as you type.

3. Sort Playlists

Step 1: Click on the Sort by Created dropdown located at the top corner of the playlist section.
Step 2: Choose one of the following options from the dropdown menu:

• Sort by Created: Sorts playlists by their created date.
• Sort by Layouts: Sorts playlists based on their layout counts.
• Sort by Screen Count: Sorts playlists by the number of screens associated with them.
  

4. Create a New Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Click on the +New Playlist button located at the top-right corner.
Step 3: Enter a meaningful playlist name. Optionally, you can add a detailed description to help others understand the purpose of the playlist.
Step 4: Click on the Create Playlist button.

5. Create a Copy of a Particular Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Find the playlist you want to duplicate and click on the Copy icon associated with that playlist.

6. View Playlist Playing on Particular Screens

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to check, and click on the Screen icon associated with that playlist.
Step 3: A modal will appear, listing all the screens where the playlist is playing.

7. Update Playlist Name

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to update, and click on the Settings icon associated with that playlist.
Step 3: Enter the new playlist name.
Step 4: Click on the Update Playlist button to save your changes.

8. Delete a Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to delete, and click on the Delete icon associated with that playlist.

9. Publish a Playlist to Selected Screens/Groups

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to publish, and click on the Publish button associated with that playlist.
Step 3: Go to the Screens/Groups tab and select the screens or groups where you want the playlist to play.
Step 4: Click on the Publish button, then click Continue to confirm your action.

Once published, the playlist will begin playing on the selected screens/groups according to your settings.

10. Schedule a Playlist to Selected Screens/Groups

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to schedule, and click on the Publish button associated with that playlist.
Step 3: Go to the Screens/Groups tab and select the screens or groups where you want the playlist to play.
Step 4: Click on the Schedule button.
Step 5: Enter the Start Date, End Date, Start Time, and End Time.
Step 6: Click Continue to confirm your action.

Once scheduled, the playlist will begin playing on the selected screens/groups according to your settings.

11. Change Orientation of a Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to edit and click on the Edit button associated with it.
Step 3: Choose an orientation: Vertical, Horizontal, or Custom (set custom width and height dimensions).
Step 4: Click on the Save button to apply your changes.

12. Add a Layout to a Playlist

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to add and click on the Edit button associated with it.
Step 4: Click on the +New Layout button.
Step 4: Click on the Save button to apply your changes.

13. Add a media,widgets or sequence to a layout in existing Playlist.

Step 1: Click on the Playlists tab in the left sidebar.
Step 2: Locate the playlist you want to add and click on the Edit button associated with it.
Step 3: From the respective tabs Media, Widgets, or Sequences,select the desired item and drag it onto the layout.
Step 4: Customize it using the following features: Auto Align , Full Screen , Forward and Backward positioning options.
Step 5: Click on the Save Button to apply your changes.

How to Create a Playlist, Add Media to an Existing Layout, and Publish to a Screen?

Follow these steps to create a new playlist, customize it, and publish it to your desired screen or group.

Step 1: 🗂️ Navigate to the Playlists Tab
Click on the Playlists tab located in the left sidebar.

Step 2: ➕ Create a New Playlist
Click on the +New Playlist button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 3: 📝 Name Your Playlist
Enter a meaningful name for your playlist. You can also add an optional description to clarify its purpose for other users.

Step 4: ✅ Save the Playlist
Click on the Create Playlist button to finalize the creation of your new playlist.

Step 5: 🎥 Add Media, Widgets, or Sequences
From the respective tabs Media, Widgets, or Sequences, select the desired items and drag them onto the layout.

Step 6: 🛠️ Customize the Layout
Adjust the layout using the following customization options:

• Auto Align: Automatically align items for a clean layout.
• Full Screen: Make an item span the entire screen.
• Forward and Backward: Control the layering of items on the layout.

Step 7: 💾 Save Your Changes
Click the Save button to ensure your modifications are applied.

Step 8: ⏭️ Proceed to the Next Step
Click on the Next button to move to the publishing process.

Step 9: 📺 Select Screens or Groups
Navigate to the Screens/Groups tab and choose the screens or groups where you want the playlist to be displayed.

Step 10: 🚀 Publish the Playlist
Click on the Publish button and confirm your action by clicking Continue.

🎉 Success! Your playlist has been successfully created, customized, and published to the selected screens or groups.
